Tobacco Warning

SALE STRICTLY PROHIBITED TO MINORS
The sale, transfer and free distribution of tobacco products and electronic cigarettes to persons under the age of 18 is strictly prohibited in Switzerland, in accordance with Art. 23 of the Swiss Federal Act on Tobacco Products (LPTab), in force since 1 October 2024.

1. Minimum Age Requirement

Access to the catalogue, ordering and delivery of tobacco products on rhein1905.ch are strictly reserved to persons aged 18 years or older.

Minors are not authorised to place orders on this site or to receive tobacco products at their address. Any order placed on behalf of a minor is null and exposes the person who placed the order to criminal sanctions (Art. 24 LPTab).

2. Mandatory Identity Verification

In accordance with the self-monitoring obligation imposed by the LPTab and by the Ordinance on Tobacco Products and Electronic Cigarettes (OPTab), a simple click confirmation is not sufficient to attest to the customer's majority.

On your first order of tobacco products, Rhein 1905 SA carries out a documented identity verification:

  1. Upload of a copy of a valid official identity document (ID card, passport or residence permit);
  2. Entry of full date of birth and automatic age calculation;
  3. For deliveries within Switzerland: handover of the parcel against signature with visual age check by the carrier (Swiss Post "Handover 18+" service);
  4. Encrypted retention of supporting documents on our servers for the legal limitation period, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

Your supporting documents are never transmitted to third parties and are deleted upon expiry of the legal retention period. For further details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
