 In 2021, Cohiba celebrated its 55th anniversary — and the flagship brand of Habanos marked the occasion the only way it knows how. Unveiled as a preview at the first-ever Habanos World Days, the Cohiba 55 Aniversario Premier is the highly sought-after pre-release version of this Edición Limitada 2021.

The cigar introduces a vitola entirely new to the brand, named Victoria: an imposing 150 mm by 57 ring gauge — among the thickest Cohiba has ever offered. Its head features the twisted pigtail (perilla), the unmistakable detail found on the Lanceros of the Línea Clásica and the prestigious Behike line — a signature that announces the cigar's standing at first glance.

True to the spirit of the Edición Limitada, its filler is built from carefully selected leaves aged for a minimum of two years, allowing the aromas to gain roundness and depth. On the palate, the 55 Aniversario unfolds a medium-to-full, ample and warm profile: creamy cedar and leather at the start, then a rise through cocoa, roasted nuts, coffee and a fine touch of spice.

Presented in a Premier box of 5 cigars with a band created specially for the release, and limited to 10,000 boxes initially reserved for the duty-free channel, this Cohiba is as much a great cigar as a true collector's piece — destined to mature and appreciate over years spent in the humidor.
